Our final day in Singapore, a leisurely breakfast followed by a walk in Fort Canning Park which is situated just behind Clarke Quay.

The park is set on a hill and from the top, good views can be had overlooking the Central Business District and Clarke Quay.

We returned to the hotel and checked out just before lunchtime. The Holiday Inn had exceeded expectations and we would certainly stay there again on a future visit to Singapore. We took the MRT to the Expo station and walked across the road to the Changi Point Outlet Mall. It was quite easy taking our luggage on the MRT as all the stations we used had step free access. This mall is reasonably large and is home to around 160 stores.

Amongst them you will find branches of Timberland, Samsonite, Lacoste and Esprit. We bought some clothes from Esprit, and having visited their outlets in Hong Kong last summer, we found that the prices were broadly similar.

The Changi Point outlet mall has two food courts, one in the basement and another on the top floor. We chose to have a meal on their upper floor and like everywhere else we have eaten in Singapore the food tasted good, was served piping hot and was good value. It was then time to make the short MRT journey to Changi Airport for our return journey to the UK.
