Location:

The Quest Port Adelaide is ideally located in the heart of the historic Port Adelaide precinct. The property is within easy walking distance of the waterfront, local cafés, restaurants and heritage buildings, making it an excellent base for both leisure and business travellers. Port Adelaide is well placed for easy access to both Adelaide city centre, surrounding coastal areas and the airport.

Arrival and Check-in:

Our arrival at Quest Port Adelaide was very welcoming especially as it was pouring with rain at the time, so the front desk staff quickly helped us in with our luggage. The reception area was well-presented and we were checked-in speedily.

The Apartment:

Our one bedroom executive apartment with balcony was tastefully furnished and well designed. The space was thoughtfully laid out, offering a comfortable lounge, separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area.

The bedroom featured a very comfortable bed with high quality linen, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The living area was bright and inviting with stylish furnishings and ample space to relax or work. Moving into the fully equipped kitchen, this comprised high-end appliances, cookware and utensils, making it suitable for longer stays or self-catering.

The bathroom was contemporary styled with a powerful rain shower, luxurious MOR toiletries and a washer/dryer. The apartment was serviced daily with our hospitality tray also topped up and fresh milk left in the fridge.

What a lovely view you had from your living room! And it’s great that you were so close to attractions and restaurants – that’s always a plus (and the fact that everyone was so friendly too 😊).

Quest Port Adelaide was a great place to stay whilst visiting the local attractions and exploring the town. It also made a change to prepare our own breakfast rather than eat in.hotels all the time. Sometimes simple home pleasures are all you need!

I’m sure I’ve mentioned in the past that Port Adelaide was the origins of my career in shipping and cargo movement. A lively place when I was there in the 1970s. If you wanted to know if the ship was in, you went to the office front door and stuck your head out. We were just a few doors up from where the Maritime Museum is now. That was then the Customs Auction house for seized or abandoned goods. Most of the accommodation then was in pubs.

I’ve always enjoyed staying at places that have a kitchen. It’s nice to have that option of making your own food instead of having to eat out for every meal. Looks like a nice spot to stay.

Thanks Linda – the Quest Aparthotel.was just what we needed and as you say it’s good to vary eating in and out on a longer holiday.

Linda, the Quest Apartment Hotels in Australia can be relied on for a good standard for long stays at a reasonable price.

Some familiar sights there. I lived in Adelaide for three years and Pt. Adelaide was one of the places visited. It was also the point of entry for my wife’s family who migrated from Europe after the war.

That’s good then Sheree. Quite a way out of the city centre but ideal for exploring Port Adelaide and also handy for returning to the airport.

Your experience sounds much more comfortable than mine! I stayed in a motel on the outskirts of Adelaide, which gave me a very different impression of the area. Staying in the historic Port Adelaide precinct would certainly have made it easier to explore the waterfront, heritage buildings and museums on foot.

We found Port Adelaide to be an ideal base for the remaining part of our stay in South Australia. With museums, waterfront and restaurants within walking distance we only needed to use the car to get to the kayaking centre. Thanks for your welcome thoughts and hopefully you can visit Port Adelaide sometime in the future.
