After the previous day’s rain, we woke to a warm, sunny morning with no rain clouds in sight. To walk off our large breakfast we strolled along the seafront to its end. Just beyond the Sheraton Hotel we came across a small shopping mall and cinema complex. There was a long jetty to walk along and we sat on a bench awhile, it was very peaceful with only an occasional walker passing by.

Returning to our suite we spent some time relaxing on our terrace. Since arriving in Fuerteventura, it was the first time that the stiff breeze had dropped which made it feel much warmer and pleasant to relax outdoors.
We walked into the centre of Caletta for pre dinner drinks and then enjoyed our final dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. The food has been varied and of a good standard but the cuisine at the Barcelo is best described as ‘international’ rather than ‘Spanish’.
There was a beautiful sunset to admire as we had our late evening stroll before returning to our suite to prepare for our departure the next day.
